The Red and Blue Celebration of UM Staff 2023 will be held on Wednesday, May 10, at noon in the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts.
The Red and Blue Celebration of Achievement for University of Mississippi staff members is an opportunity for the university community to honor staff members who have navigated the college experience successfully while working simultaneously as an employee at the university. The celebration includes UM staff members who are or will be graduates as of December 2022, May 2023, or August 2023.
During the ceremony, we will honor graduating seniors and graduate students with red and blue cords and a certificate of achievement. It’s a joyous celebration where staff, family, alums, students, and faculty are encouraged to congratulate our new graduates. A reception will be held at the Ford Center, immediately following the ceremony.
UM staff members are employed primarily in non-teaching activities in support of the educational, research, and service programs of the university. They may be full-time or part-time administrative, professional, and other staff employees located on any campus of the University of Mississippi who are eligible for fringe benefits, such as personal and sick leave, retirement benefits, and healthcare. Student workers are not eligible for this event.
